Year of Preparation
March to December 2018
A community is gathering, meeting each week, to establish a rhythm of prayer and seek God to discern how to go about building a House of Prayer for Southampton.
Our initial commitment is for 6 months, at the end of which we will assess where we go next.
Each member of the community is seeking the blessing of their church leadership in this, and will remain accountable and connected to their home church.
The group is being led by Richard and Kathy Pitt, who are accountable to the leadership of City Life Church.
We have been called to build slowly and wisely, and to involve people drawn from across the whole body of Christ in Southampton.
Those joining this community make the following commitment
To meet weekly, initially for 6 months
To set our hearts on pilgrimage - always moving closer to God
To establish a rhythm of prayer
To learn and to listen to God
To work with others, from a range of church backgrounds
To rely on the empowering of the Holy Spirit
