[17] Historical Tour - five churches in the old city

This week we met a local Christian and official Southampton tour guide, Dave Adcock, who took us on a guided tour from the Bargate around the old city. His focus was finding the 5 churches that are (or were) within the old city walls and he used that as a way to draw out spiritual themes from the history of Southampton.

It was a most amazing journey through the past, with a wide range of discoveries for us all about our heritage. We will investigate and report more on these over the coming weeks. Suffice to say, there were many more 'hidden treasures' that most of us had not known about before.

Southampton truly is a most incredible city!
